Terry:
Ever since I was a child I have had a cat named
Terry. So no matter what, one of my cats always
gets the name, Terry. Terry is a red Persian,
who loves to be combed and I refer to him as
"my little man." He and his brother
Teddy are from Utah. |
|
| Teddy
is like having a dog….he comes when you
call him and loves people. He acts like he is
the king of the jungle and purrs very loudly.
|
 |
|
 |
Tuffy
is a cream point Persian and I sometimes call
him snowball. He loves to talk and sit on my
lap. He and his brother Cocoa Puff are from
Texas. |
|
| Cocoa
Puff is a seal point Persian and he was my birthday
gift to my husband. He snuggles up in bed each
night and snores like crazy. |
 |
|
 |
Tory
is a chocolate Persian who has an identical
twin(born in the same sac), Trevor. Tory is
a mamas boy |
|
|
Trevor is a daddy’s boy. It is almost
impossible to tell him and Tory apart. Both
cats are from Ohio. |
 |
|
 |
Tony
is a blue Persian and we refer to as a chow
hound. He will eat anytime, anywhere. He and
his brother Tucker are from Florida. |
|
Tucker
likes to sit up like a person and groom himself.
All the cats are under the age of four. So we
have a house full of kittens, well almost.

| I
played trumpet in high school many years ago.
Three years ago my 86 year old mother decided
I should play again. My natural reaction was, "you've
got to be kidding." Well, she planted
a seed. My parents and my husband went and
bought me a new trumpet. I was singing in the
choir at Anastasia Baptist Church in St. Augustine,
Florida but with trumpet in hand, I joined
the orchestra. |
 |
| The
years melted away and playing felt as natural
as if I had played a year before. I now play
the trumpet, the flugel horn, the cornet,
and the piccolo trumpet and it has become
a center stone of my life. After a year of
playing again, my mother got another idea.
She felt I should be taking lessons from
the first trumpeter of the Jacksonville Symphony
orchestra. Now, this was really crazy! But
again, it planted a seed. I had no idea where
to start but I made a few local phone calls
to music related people. Two days later,
at 8pm my phone rang. I heard the other person
on the phone say, "Hi, I'm Cliff Newton,
the first trumpeter of the Jacksonville Symphony
orchestra and I understand you are looking
for a teacher." I just about dropped
the phone. I have been taking from Cliff
ever since. |
 |
At
the church I organized a trumpet trio, called
the Anastasia Brass Company. I look forward
to where this will take me in the future.
Bottom line: listen to your mother!
